    Hey all,

I am idleing at 3k when starting from the cold, and after warmed up, it will hunt for a idle speed, jumping from 1500-3000k. After totally warmed up, it will idle at 1200.

Archive searches show it may be IACV or thermo valve.

If this is not the case, what else could be the problem??

I am not sure if the shop bypassed the throttle body coolant line (a part of the Hondata Manifold gasket installation that eliminates some sources of heat). If they did, could this be a result of the high idle now that the temp has dropped outdoors??

It recently started doing the idle problems when it got a little cooler, and a little bit after a oil change. I dont think the oil change is correlated, because it started a week or so after.

    What do you all think?

You probably could have repaired your original one... call me at the shop and I can walk you through the process with your old thermo valve. I may be able to help you save it, and then you will have a back up !!!

i'll see if they still have it. From what they were saying, it was pretty much toast. That white cap thing opens to bypass the air was completely dislodged/broke off and thus it was completely open the whole time.

I'll get it if they have it and call you. Not sure if there is much hope.
